About ASUSTOR AS-SAS8E PCIE GEN4 X8 Tri-mode Adapter - SFF-8644 (Low-profile & Standard Bracket)

The ASUSTOR AS-SAS8e is an 8-port SAS-3 Host Bus Adapter (HBA) expansion card designed to dramatically increase the storage capacity and throughput of compatible ASUSTOR NAS units. Built on the Broadcom HBA 9500-8e, it connects your NAS to ASUSTOR JBOD expansion units via SAS-3 and NVMe, delivering up to 12 Gbps per port in full-duplex operation — twice the throughput of SATA III. If you're running high-load workloads around the clock and need reliable, high-capacity storage, this card is well worth a look.

Key Features

• SAS-3 Performance — Delivers up to 12 Gbps per port in full-duplex, giving you lower latency and significantly higher throughput than standard SATA III connections.

• SAS & SATA Compatible — Supports both SAS and SATA drives, giving you flexibility to work with a range of storage options in your setup.
• NVMe Protocol Support — Works with NVMe for fast, enterprise-grade data transfer alongside SAS-3 connectivity.
• ADM Storage Manager Integration — Manages easily through ASUSTOR's ADM Storage Manager, so you won't need to jump through hoops to keep an eye on your storage.
• Built for 24/7 Operation — Rated for continuous high-load use, making it a solid pick for enterprise workloads, media production, and business-critical storage.
